Hargeisa, Somalia talks postponed




The President of Hargeisa  Muse Bihi Abdi is scheduled to meet with Somalia president Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed  in Djibouti for the resumption of Somalia-Hargeisa talks. Meanwhile, today’s The Hargeisa Foreign Minister Dr Sa’ad Ali Shire officially announced the talks between Hargeisa and Somalia delayed for a month due to the current issues.

The minister said the current situation is not possible to enter into that talks between Hargeisa. and Somalia.

Foreign Minister says “The Talks with Somalia Postponed for a Month Due To The Current Issues Subject to Review After that Period .”Said Minister Sa’ad Ali Shire. The talks began dates back to early 2012 when the London Conference on Somalia, held at Lancaster House on 23 February resulted in a communiqué. This document raised ‘the need for the international community to support any dialogue that Hargeisa  and Somalia’ may concur to define their future collaboration.

The Hargeisa Somalia talks collapsed several times after the two sides tabled hard conditions.
