UN says Somali leaders to attend conference in Mogadishu on good faith

The United Nations says Somali leaders to participate in good faith in the implementation of the election agreement.

United Nations envoys to Somalia have met with Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble and leaders of Federal Member States in recent days. Compromise and consensus are needed for Somalia to move forward and benefit all Somalis,” the statement from the United Nations Office in Somalia said.

An election consultative meeting chaired by the prime minister scheduled for today is likely to be delayed. Puntland-Jubaland state governors have not yet in Mogadishu. Prime Minister Roble will face the toughest test of his electoral leadership.
