A bomb explosion has gone off at a checkpoint near the Lower House building in Mogadishu.
The latest in Mogadishu the blast happened at a checkpoint in Sayidka area adjacent to the Ministry of Security headquarters, which is a few meters away from the parliament building. Plumes of smoke could be seen in the air as the vehicle laden with explosives blew up. More to follow.
