Mogadishu – Benadir region and mayor of Mogadishu Mr. Abdirahman Omar Osman held a meeting with the British Ambassador to Somalia David Concar.
The Mayor described the priorities for his new administration. For his part, Mr. Concar welcomed the Commissioner’s focus on good governance and democratization. They both agreed on the importance of security, taxes, and permanent solution to the displaced people in the capital.
Mayor. North of the capital has been its focus on struggle to include the development of capital and access roads, since the first devastating attack on, cleaning, anti-poverty and internally displaced persons to make hospitals and small sites education. The meeting also discussed the issues of land, especially in the public interest areas where poor people are offered an opportunity before the expulsion.
The two officials reaffirmed the strong co-operation between the British Embassy and the Benadir Regional Authority and are committed to working closely with them.
