Deni talks about the Bosaso port and running for Somalia’s presidency.

The President of Puntland State of Somalia, Said Abdullahi Deni today officially opened the session of the Puntland Parliament, delivering a keynote address on security, his recent trips, the elections and the situation at Bosaso Port. First, Deni briefed members of the Puntland parliament on his recent travels and in the region.

In his speech, Said Deni also spoke about the achievements of his government in recent months, and said that much progress has been made in the areas of security, reconciliation and strengthening cooperation between the federal government and Puntland administrations.




During his speech, the Said Deni spoke about the agreement reached between Puntland and Galmudug, and announced that they have agreed to work together to prevent clan clashes and conflicts in the Mudug region. He also stressed that Puntland is planning to implement nine checkpoints in the administration’s major cities.

Meanwhile, Said Deni spoke about the situation in Bosaso port, and said that it has started with a container line coming to the port once a month, and announced that it is part of the development of Bosaso port which is a lie.



He also added that the scope for import at the port has been expanded again, with liars misleading Puntland people.

Said Deni travelled to United Arab Emirates, He has his own agendas to get support from the UAE his ambition to replace President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo in 2021 Somalia, Election meddling foreign actors, UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

He also said the company’s agreement with DP World in 2017, and a request that he now proposed to go to achieve a negotiated solution to the problems in port and concern of the state.

“We are in talks with DP World. We want to reach a solution at the port of Bosaso that will not affect the relationship between the UAE and Puntland. Let the people trust us,” said Said Deni.
