Former Deputy Speaker of the Kenyan Parliament Farah Maalim says Kenyans blatantly interfering in Somalia’s internal affairs.

Former Deputy Speaker of the Kenyan Parliament Farah Maalim has today for the first time addressed a outlet media interview with the crisis between the Somali government and Kenya, which has led to the expulsion of the ambassador from Nairobi by the federal government.

Farah Maalim first acknowledged that the Kenyan government was blatantly interfering in Somalia’s internal affairs, which he said violated international law in neighboring countries. He also expressed support for the Somali federal government’s decision to expel the Kenyan ambassador and recall its ambassador, after it announced a number of concerns about the Nairobi government.

“For Somalis today to decide and not to interfere Kenya, it is not surprising and it is something every country would do,” said Farah Maalim. He also said that Kenya’s intervention has been dragging on for a long time, deliberately violating the sovereignty of our country. Farah also said that the Ethiopian government itself had committed violations of Somalia’s sovereignty, linking the allegations to the previous government of Abi Ahmed.

Farah said that the Kenyan forces, as part of the Amisom operation are using the Nairobi government to further its own agendas, as part of what he said is Nairobi’s intervention in Mogadishu. ”The federal government of Somalia on Sunday expelled the ambassador to Kenya, where he was ordered to return to the country, also have called its ambassador in Nairobi.”

The Somali government has accused Kenya of meddling in Somalia’s internal affairs and colluding with the Jubaland president to thwart the election agreement.

“The Federal Government of Somalia appears to be deliberately interfering in the internal affairs of the Federal Republic of Somalia, under pressure from Jubaland President Ahmed Madobe to implement its plan to interfere and disrupt the political agreement reached in the Somali elections. ”Said a statement issued by the Somali government on Sunday.
