A voice recorded by Hargeisa Minister of Internal Affairs, Mohamed Kahin Ahmed, shows that the government has agreed to the arrival of elders with armed forces in secret recording Hargeisa Minister Kaahin said they ordered the SNM forces to invade Las Anod.
The minister, who was recorded during a meeting with some of the elders of Las Anod, told the elders that it is necessary to be honest in finding a solution to the issue of Las Anod.
“We want this if you are honest with us, and we want to do something about this process, we need to ask ourselves how to do something about it, we need you to come together, and we will come to it briefly, and then as we are working to invade Las Anod,” Kaahin said.
Responding to those who accused him of interference, he said that they will not allow interference, since they are the government, and he said that in order to find peace, they allowed the elders to bring weapons to the city.
“The finger pointing, how can we stop pointing finger, we are the government, the intelligence you sent that brought the bombs you saw in the city, we are now giving the order to come, and for the last 5 days, they are holding a meeting in Falidyale, together with others, from Hamar,” said Minister Kaahin.
He said that the elders who are meeting in Falidyale have asked the Puntland government to provide them with troops and they have been fighting but the government has allowed them to come to Las Anod and they have come with armed forces.
The government of Hargeisa has agreed to bring home all the elders of Las Anod who were away from the city, while the situation in Las Anod is still unstable, most of the elders who oppose the government want to establish an independent administration in Las Anod under the Somali government.
In addition, the leader of the SSC Liberation Front, Faisal Falalug, is in the city, and he is making great efforts to make Las Anod a seat for the leaders of Khatumo.
