Protesters, mostly drivers of public transport, were protesting on the still-closed some streets of the Mogadishu. The demonstrators gathered at the Ex-control Balcad, and neighborhoods. They also say they are against the stones that were recently blocked in many parts of the roads in Mogadishu.

Some of the protesters who spoke to the media demanded that the Somali government allows peoples’ vehicles to remain on the main roads that are still closed. The day before, the Somali government announced the reopening of some roads, particularly Makkah Al-Mukaramma and Wadnaha. However, residents of Mogadishu have been complaining for the past three years about road closures by the Somali government.
