President Farmajo receives credentials from new US Ambassador to Somalia




Somalia’s President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has received credentials from the newly appointed US Ambassador to Somalia Larry André.

The new ambassador shared a message from US President Joe Biden with President Farmajo. He also highlighted US efforts to strengthen ties and cooperation in the national interest of the two governments.




According to the presidency, President Farmajo shared with the new ambassador the progress his government has made in the areas of security, rebuilding the army, reforming financial institutions, fighting corruption and debt forgiveness.

President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo congratulated Ambassador Larry André on his appointment as Ambassador, and shared the Federal Government of Somalia’s support for the fulfillment of its diplomatic mission.
