The former President of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, was today officially sworn in as a member of the National Assembly for the rest of his life.
Mohamed Farmajo was preceded in this position by corrupt President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud who was sworn in as a member of the National Assembly in 2017, after he vacated the post of president in 2017.

Article 64 paragraph 4 of the constitution stipulates that any former president will be a member of the National Assembly during his lifetime if he has not committed a criminal act that would have made him immune.
MP Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo was welcomed to be a member of the National Assembly, saying that he will work for the benefit of the country, people and religion.
