President Mohamed receives credentials from the new EU Ambassador





The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, today welcomed the new EU Ambassador to Somalia, Nicolas Berrega Martinez. President Mohamed and Ambassador Martinez discussed the strengthening of the EU’s support for Somalia and promoting cooperation between the two parties, affirming that the Government will work with it and will facilitate its fulfillment.

The President thanked the EU’s new ambassador for their continued support to Somalia and their visible role in reconstruction and peace in the country. For his part, Ambassador Martinez said he is happy to be the EU ambassador to the Federal Republic of Somalia, and he pledges to work for the strengthening of bilateral cooperation.




The event was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mr. Ahmed Isse Awad, Somali Ambassador to EU Ali Said Faqi, Director General of the Presidency Nur Dirie Hirsi and Presidential Advisor Mr. Bilal Osman.
