Mogadishu-The government of the Federal Republic of Somalia and the European Union on Sunday signed an agreement on the status of EU training mission in Somalia.
The agreement was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, Mr Ahmed Issa Awad, and Ambassador of the European Union to the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Nicolás Berlanga Martinez. The agreement sets out the framework and co-operation of the European Union and Somalia, in line with the important security and stability plans for developing the psychological capacity to enhance maritime security in Somalia.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the European Union ambassador in Mogadishu pointed to the development of good relations between the two sides to move forward to achieve satisfactory results that reflect the desired goals.
