Somali foreign minister meets the Emir of Kuwaiti




Kuwaiti – Emir of Kuwaiti and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah met here today with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia Mr Ahmed Awad, who is currently visiting the Kuwaiti capital of Kuwait.
During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of the close bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields and means of enhancing them, and discussed the latest developments on the regional and international arenas.

The minister was first appointed by the Emir of Kuwait for a letter addressed to the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed.
He also met with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister, Sheikh Sabah Alkhalid Alxamad Alsabah and discussed bilateral relations and a number of regional issues.

Somali Foreign Minister Mr Ahmed Issa Awad also met with Minister of Education Kuwait and chairman of the Kuwait Fund for Development, and discussed the development projects in Kuwait in our country.
Kuwait is one of the Arab states that has diplomatic relations with Somalia, with particular emphasis on the strengthening of relations between the two countries.
