Somali Minister of Petroleum has signed an agreement with Shell, Exxon Oil Company

Mogadishu (Somali Times), The Minister of Petroleum and Minerals of Somalia have announced that it will the state-owned agreements with the Shell Exxon Oil Company. Minister of Minerals and Petroleum of the Somali Government Mr. Mohamoud Abdiqadir Hilal told the media that the ministry has signed an agreement with Shell Exxon Company International,

which has now quit the situation the country has been out of the country since the collapse of the central state of the country, adding that they have agreed to provide all the rights they have, based on the contracts they received during the process under the Petroleum Law.



Mr. Mahmoud Abdiqadir Hilal said the Shell Exxon companies are ready to be involved in the production of oil in Somalia. “Shell Exxon companies have contracts. The deputy minister noted that now the heads of companies have agreed in the agreement, since the government has succeeded in implementing the oil law and responding to the Ministry’s request that the international companies that have agreed to return to the country.

“This shows that the country is calm, which is a successful victory for Somalia, and it is a step that international companies like to be ready to return to the country.” Mohamoud Abdikadir Hilal said,
