Somali president receives a delegation from Eritrea




Mogadishu-Eritrean Foreign Minister, Mr Osman Saleh, met today with Somali President Mohammed Abdullahi Mohamed. The Eritrean delegation arrived in Mogadishu following the departure of President Mohamed and a delegation led by the delegation to Asmara in late last month, where both parties signed an agreement to speed up the cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides agreed on the two countries formally diplomatic contacts with diplomatic missions and diplomats and to work out and implement the implementation of the economic integration process in the Horn of Africa.
The President thanked the delegation for the visit to Mogadishu, highlighting the importance of partnerships with the region’s development.



President Mohammed Abdullahi Mohamed stressed that countries in the Horn of Africa are unmatched as they have a lot of interest in it, and pledged that his government is working in full cooperation between countries in the Horn of Africa. The Federal Government of Somalia is committed to the repatriation of Somalia in the Horn of Africa and is ready to take a major role in the co-operation of economic, social and security coordination between the countries in the Horn of Africa.
