A delegation led by the Prime Minister of Somalia travelled to Nairobi, Kenya today.

Prime Minister Roble’s delegation received an official invitation from Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta, and the Prime Minister’s visit comes two days after the Kenyan foreign minister arrived in Mogadishu.

The purpose of Somali Prime Minister Roble’s visit is said to sign Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Kenya and Somalia to renegotiate maritime case border Kenya-Somalia and trade agreement with Kenya, according to Kenyan officials told Somali Times.

The Prime Minister’s visit to Kenya comes at a time of tensions between President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and Prime Minister Roble, which stemmed from a visit to Mogadishu by the Kenyan Foreign Minister a day earlier.
