Somalia 30 people died in today’s explosions in the districts of Bulaburte and Jalalaqsi Al-Shabab attack




There are more reports of casualties caused by three suicide bombings in Bulaburte and Jalalaqsi districts of Hiran region.

The explosion that took place in Bulaburte district, which was in a car filled with explosives, took place between the administration center of Bulaburte district and the main mosque of the district.

The explosion was said to have caused the death of 18 people, two of whom were soldiers of the Somali government, while the other 16 people were all civilians, some of whom were inside the mosque, and there are many more who suffered injuries.

On Saturday, people from Jalalaqsi, Halgan and the surrounding villages came together to do business in Bulaburte district. At the time of the explosion, there was a huge traffic jam in the city.

On the other hand, two suicide bombings that took place within a few minutes in Jalalaqsi district are reported to have increased the damage caused by the explosions.

The first of the explosions in Jalalaqsi targeted the bridge in the district, which is located in front of the Somali and Djibouti forces as part of the ATMIS operation. Officers opened fire on the suspect car and it exploded in a place where many students were waiting.

In the month of October last year in 2022, it was when the Al-Shabab suicide bombings that took place at the same time in the two districts of Bulaburte and Jalalaqsi killed many people, including the governor of Jalalaqsi district, Mohamud Nur.
