Somalia’s new prime minister Hamza Abdi Barre has become the 21st prime minister of Somalia, recently appointed by the 10th corrupt president, Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud.

The new prime minister is now expected to form his government and return it to parliament for approval by the new cabinet.

Somalia has undergone a political transformation, following the May 15th elections at Mogadishu.

Somalia’s corrupt President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud was expected to address parliament to request that lawmakers approve the Prime Minister’s nomination. However, the President tested positive for COVID-19 and was in self-isolation after he had returned to Somalia on Friday from a trip to the United Arab Emirates.
