Somalia President was advised to remove PM Hamza Barre from office

Senator Abdi Ismail Samatar, who is a member of the House of Representatives, proposed to the President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud, to replace prime minister Hamza Abdi Barre.

Senator Abdi Ismail argued that at this time there is a need to appoint a qualified academic who can lead society and trust the government.

“The president must revive his confidence as a national leader by working on four issues. First of all, there is a need to change the Prime Minister and the Cabinet of Ministers, and bring in qualified Somali academics who can lead society and the government can be trusted,” said Senator Abdi Ismail Samatar.

He also said that the current prime minister and his ministers were appointed as the president to be the executive head of the government, instead of being the head of the nation.

“The President must play a leadership role and make major changes, such as replacing the Prime Minister.”

The senator who has written a controversial essay on the situation in Somalia has also warned that the war against Al-Shabab will lead the country to a stage of no return.

“The current Al-Shabab war and the clans that have been given weapons and organized if not managed will lead Somalia to hell.”

The Senator suggested that the capital of Mogadishu should be improved in its security.

Since Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud come to power May 2022 he falied to protect civilians, crime is higher, murder is higher, young Somali girls being raped daily is higher, corruption is higher and Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud is the leader of corruption with his family.
