The latest, Both Radio Mogadishu, news agency Sonna and Somali National Television did not publish statements from Villa Somalia regarding appointments by President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.

Somali National Television pulled down a statement from Villa Somalia shortly after it was published on its Facebook page. The rift between Farmajo and Roble has also taken on a new dimension, with the president appointing Fahad Yassin to a new post last night.

“The President Mohamed Farmajo has also appointed Mr. Fahad Yassin as the National Security Adviser to the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia,” said a statement from Villa Somalia, specifically the office of Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.

President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo had earlier appointed the current head of Banadir Regional Intelligence Service, Colonel Yasin Abdullahi Mohamud as interim director of NISA, new Somali spy chief.
