According to a report by the Saudi official news agency SPA, citing an official source in the Ministry of Energy, there was an attempted attack on an Aramco building in Riyadh.
An official source stated that the building was hit by shrapnel during the attack, resulting in limited damage, and that there were no injuries or fatalities.
The incident occurred after the Saudi Arabia-led Arab Coalition announced that it had intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles launched at the capital Riyadh by Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.
Coalition spokesman Brigadier General Turki al-Maliki later announced that two cruise missiles launched towards Riyadh and southern Saudi Arabia were also intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems.
The Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen had previously announced that they had carried out missile and drone attacks targeting airports, oil facilities, and military sites in Saudi Arabia.
