The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, said that they will continue to save the world with their grain.

Volodymyr Zelensky announced that his country will send 28,600 tons of wheat in the coming weeks to Somalia, which is at risk of severe famine due to drought.

The United Nations has predicted a famine that could hit Somalia by the end of 2022. Ukraine has recently started to transport wheat from its own country to the world to deal with hunger in African countries and parts of Asia that depend on foreign wheat.

The first shipment of grain from Ukraine recently went to East Africa, especially Djibouti, with the intention of Djibouti and Ethiopia to distribute the aid, by ships directly from the ports of Ukraine.

The Turkish government is guaranteeing the safety of these ships, after signing a food agreement between Ukraine, Russia and Turkey.
