US Ambassador to Somalia Larry Andre says his country respects the territorial integrity of Somalia since the 1960s. In an interview with outlet media, Andre said the United States was committed to dealing with the Somaliland administration while protecting Somalia’s politics.
Outlet media asked about the Muse Bihi visit to the United States, Andre denied a statement by Somaliland’s Information Minister Saleban Ali Koore that Muse Bihi had received an official invitation from the United States, which US denied inviting Muse Bihi.
The US ambassador said Muse Bihi had decided to go to the United States. He ruled out any invitation. The US House Foreign Affairs Committee recently called on the United States to increase diplomatic, security and economic ties with Somalia.
