What happened during the meeting between Somalia president and Italian far right Giorgia Meloni?




The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud, met with the far-right Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni, in an introductory meeting for the tripartite meeting between the countries of Somalia, Italy and Ethiopia.

The President shared with Prime Minister Meloni the effective plans to free the country from terrorism and its importance for the region and the world in general for the stability of Somalia and asking the Italian far-right prime minister for military equipment and support according to presidental advisors told Somali Times.

Shady President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud noted that the first phase of the operation to free the country from terrorism has been successful, and soon a joint operation will begin with the participation of the frontline countries neighboring Somalia, as the threat of terrorism, the suffering they cause to civilians and the challenge they pose to the development of the Horn of Africa region.

For her part, the Prime Minister of Italy far-right Giorgia Meloni praised the President and the Somali government for the obvious steps taken in terms of stabilization and government building, and presented her government’s support for realizing the aspirations of the Somali people, especially peace and harmony in Somalia.




The President of Somalia is attending a tripartite meeting in Addis Ababa where the leaders of Somalia, Ethiopia and Italy will meet.

In this tripartite meeting, the leaders of the three countries are discussing the reform of mutual cooperation and unification of plans in diplomatic, economic and security relations.

The leaders of the three countries will analyze the solution to the problems faced by the countries of Somalia, Ethiopia and Italy.

President Hassan Sheikh and his delegation will present the views of the federal government of Somalia on the future of traditional relations between Somalia, Italy and Ethiopia.
