African football legends Eto’o, Jay Jay Okacha and Adebayor arrived in Somalia for the first time today from FIFA and CAF and will conduct an evaluation at the stadiums in Mogadishu.

Officials led by the Minister of Youth and Sports, the Chairman of the Somali Football Federation, sports fans and other dignitaries warmly welcomed the players who arrived in Mogadishu today, and the delegation includes the Chairman of the CACAFA Football Association.

The importance of the arrival of this delegation is so that the Somali team can have the so-called Home Games, which means that the Somali team can play in their country and host other international teams, according to the Chairman of the Somali Football Federation, Ali Shiine, who told the media.

Somalia sports analysts say that the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Somali Football Federation have been working hard for a long time to allow the Somali national team to play at home, which required a lot of effort, involvement, campaigning and support from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the international football federation (FIFA), and these three men who arrived today will do a great deal when it comes to marketing the name of Somalia.

Eto’o is not only a former player but also the Chairman of the Cameroon Football Federation, while Adebayor and Okocha are also influential men in world football organizations and regularly appear in the international media.

This afternoon, a football exhibition is scheduled to be held at the Mogadishu Stadium, where a large crowd will attend and they will play against the Somali national team.
