Ahmed Madobe is in Mogadishu for separate meetings with Jubaland parliamentarians and other segments of society. The purpose of Ahmed Madobe’s visit to Mogadishu is to discuss the upcoming presidential election in Somalia and to build on who he sees fit in the interests of Jubbaland, with the exception of President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, who is embroiled in a bitter feud. According to Kenya official told Somali Times.

According to sources told Somali Times, Ahmed Madobe discussed with constituencies in Kismayo and Elwak to vote for Sheikh Sharif Ahmed in the interest of the country and Jubaland.

Ahmed Madobe urged lawmakers he met not to cast their ballots and not to confuse presidential candidate Farmajo, who has been at loggerheads with Ahmed Madobe’s administration for five years.

Although Ahmed Madobe was initially understood to be a supporter of Said Deni, recent reports suggest he is now secretly building on former founder Al-Shabab terror network, Sheikh Sharif Ahmed, Ahmed Madobe and both work for Kenya-UAE intelligence as an informer.

Ahmed Madobe believes warlord Said Deni’s chances of becoming Somalia’s president are slim, without sufficient support.

Said Abdullahi Deni on Sunday suffered a major setback from lawmakers in the Jubaland and Puntland regional administrations, on which he relied heavily.

Somalia is the most corrupt country in the world ranking number one.
