Al-Shabaab terrorists killed nine people, including a couple who recently married in Afrik Hotel Mogadishu

Information is still growing on the eight-hour direct attack on the Afrik Hotel in Mogadishu, which resulted in a number of deaths and injuries. According to the Somali government, at least nine people were killed in the attack, including General Mohamed Nur Galal, who was staying at the hotel, and a man named Abdullahi Nur Siyad, who was the brother of politician Abdi Nur Siyad (Abdi Wal). Soldiers and other civilians were killed.

Civilians were killed in the attack, with al-Shabaab’s visit included the seven couples out at the hotel, when the attack occurred. The couple, who were recently married staying at Afrik Hotel , were named Fahad and Farhia, and were both buried in a cemetery in the Jazira area on the outskirts of the Mogadishu today.



Some of the relatives of the deceased who spoke to the Somali Times at the funeral said that Fahad and Farhiya, who were recently married, were at the Afrik Hotel for seven weeks, but unfortunately were among those killed in the attack.

The incident left a painful relationship between the deceased spouse have talking in Mogadishu as well as social networking sites on the Internet.
