Defense CS Aden Duale says when KDF who were deployed in Somalia will return to Kenya




Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has stated that the Kenya Defense Forces are in Somalia to protect Citizens of Somalia. In a report that has been shared by a reliable source of information, it has been reported that the Duale who was speaking on Citizen TV has also stated that the Kenya Defense Forces will be brought back in the country, according to Opera Mews reported.

According to the reports given by Duale, he claimed that the Kenya Defense Forces were sent to Somalia to protect Kenyans stating that the Kenya Defense Forces are in Somalia to protect Kenyas National interest.




Duale has also stated that the Kenya Defense Forces might be coming back home sooner than expected adding that they have already closed one of their bases in Somalia. According to the reports given by Duale, he claimed that by December 2024 no KDF will be in Somalia.

Aden Duale: We are not in Somalia as KDF, we are not in Somalia for a picnic, to go and enjoy the beach in Mogadishu and Kismayu. We are in Somalia to protect the national security interest of the Republic of Kenya and its people. We are in Somalia as part of our moral duty to be part and parcel of the regional peace and security within the Horn of Africa.




This is happening at the same time when it has been reported that the police in Lamu are investigating an incident where Suspected alshabaab members allegedly shot and killed 2 men.
