Djibouti welcomes integration of the Horn of Africa




Addis Ababa-Djiboutian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed praised the significant changes he achieved in Ethiopia and across the region and the integration of the Horn of Africa. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh today held a bilateral meeting in Addis-Ababa discussions on issues related to Ethiopia,

Djibouti, as well as the region. Following the two-day meeting, Ethiopian Foreign Minister Workneh Gebeyehu told journalists that the prime minister of Ethiopia and the Djiboutian president discussed the ways in which bilateral relations and regional integration could be strengthened.

Both leaders praised the integration of Africa and praised the decision to jointly legal sanctions against Eritrea.
The Ethiopian Prime Minister said Ethiopia will continue to play a constructive role in the establishment of good relations between Eritrea and Djibouti through facilitating all good practices, one said.Workneh




Djiboutian Foreign Minister Mohamud Ali Yusuf said since Abiy Ahmed was elected by the Ethiopian Prime Minister, he succeeded in replacing the regional political landscape.
Mohamud Ali Yusuf added that Abiy is really the cornerstone of the integration process in the Horn of Africa, which Djibouti praises. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed met his Egyptian counterpart Mostafa Madbouly in Addis ababa, capital of Ethiopia.

The two leaders have emphasized their use of bilateral ties and cooperation in the security and economic sectors.
During the negotiations, Prime Minister Abi Ahmed and Mostafa Madbouly encouraged bilateral cooperation to achieve new victories.
