Ethiopian national security adviser meets Farmajo in Mogadishu, delivers message from Abiy Ahmed

Ethiopian national security adviser Gedu Andargacho’s has arrived in Mogadishu, where he met with President Farmajo, delivering a message from Abiy Ahmed. Mr Gedu Andargacho arrived in Mogadishu today and was welcomed at the airport by Presidential Security Adviser Abdi Said Mohamed Ali and Ethiopian Ambassador to Somalia Jamaudin Mustafa.

Ethiopian Ambassador to Somalia Amb. Jamaludin recently announced on his Facebook page the meeting between the National Security Adviser and President Farmajo, and discussed various issues such as the Ethiopian government’s law enforcement operation in northern Ethiopia.



The Ethiopian National Security Adviser and President Farmajo also discussed the Ethiopian government’s operation in Tigray Region, and President Farmajo expressed support for the operation. Amb. Jamaludin said President Farmajo has shown solidarity and support for the ongoing law enforcement operation. ”The Somali President has not yet commented on the meeting, as Ethiopia has previously sent envoys to East African countries to explain Ethiopia’s position on the ongoing conflict in Tigray Region.
