Ex-Somali spy chief Fahad Yasin advises president Hassan Sheikh

”The Al-Shabab terrorist group cross the border and enter the neighboring country of Ethiopia with armed forces and carry out attacks to take over land, which is not the usual practice and causes large losses. It is a dangerous event for the whole region, and it is the first step that can make the estimation of the next events wrong,” former Somali spy chief Fahad Yasin advise president Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud.

Fahad Yasin recommended that the president take the following points which he consider to be important for the national security of the country and the general stability of the Horn of Africa region.




1. That the Government of Somalia should be alert, and stop facilitating the problems that have occurred, and look at them differently from what the terrorists used to do. What happened is something that will affect the future of the entire Horn of Africa region.

2. That the Council of Ministers be established as soon as possible, so that they can do their work, and the country can get rid of the current vacancy.

3. That the National Security Committee hold an urgent meeting on the dangerous situation, and issue decisions that can lead to peace in the Horn of Africa region as a whole, and the Somali Government takes a leadership role, showing that the security of the region is interconnected.

4. To create an atmosphere of trust based on constant consultation and prevention of security threats that concern the corner, and this cannot be achieved while the Somali Security is headed by members who yesterday sided with the TPLF when it was fighting against the legitimate government. in Addis-Ababa, some of them are related to terrorism, and it is a point of danger to the security of Somalia and the region.
