Former Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire has announced his candidacy for the presidency of Somalia. In a brief statement on Twitter, Khaire said he understood the circumstances of the administration and the challenges facing the country and decided to run for office. He has announced his candidacy for the presidency, which has yet to be formally announced.
The position is still held by his deputy Mahdi Mohamed Guled. Former Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire has announced his candidacy for the post of Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia. He will be part of a series of politicians vying for the top seat in Somalia.
