Galmudug State President Ahmed Kariye is campaigning hard for his community Prime Minister job

Galmudug administration President Ahmed Kariye nicknamed “Qoor Qoor is pushing hard for President Farmajo to nominate someone from his community as prime minister.

Sources, Villa Somalia told Somali Times that Qoor Qoor met with NISA commander Fahad Yassin at the intelligence headquarters tonight to discuss the matter. Qoor Qoor was accompanied by Kamal Gutale, Ahmed Abdisalam Haji Aden and other members of his clan. The meeting follows a series of meetings with key members of the government to ensure the appointment of Prime Minister job.

President Qoor Qoor also met with President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo this morning and requested him for the post, and is expected to hold further meetings in the coming hours and days.

Ahmed Kariye. Qoor Qoor’s vigorous efforts began during the Dhusamareb conference, and there were reports that he may have been aware of the removal of Prime Minister Khaire. Some lawmakers and politicians from Galmudug have told Somali Times that they see it as a mistake for Qoor Qoor, the President of a multi-clan administration, to focus solely on his own clan.

Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo is believed to have not yet decided which community he will give the seat to.
