International community puts pressure on Farmajo

According to Villa Somalia sources told Somali Times that efforts are underway to secure a meeting between the Federal Government and its member states. United Nations envoy to Somalia James Swan and US Ambassador to Somalia Donald Yamamoto have made various contacts with the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia and heads of state, and are working to find a way to resume the conference.

The international community has now put the greatest pressure on President Farmajo in the past few hours, demanding that he return to Mogadishu in the next few hours for a meeting, and diplomatic reports say that President Farmajo has been asked to nominate a new prime minister. I will also include the next speaker of the two houses in the next meeting, in order to put an end to the president’s.

Puntland, meanwhile, maintained its position and told international delegates that President Farmajo could not be trusted. Prime Minister Khaire fired him because of the cancellation of the meeting scheduled for August 15, and he openly stated that he was not ready for an agreement.
