The conference, chaired by the Prime Minister of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble, was attended by the governors of Puntland, Said Abdullahi Deni, Galmudug, Ahmed Abdi Kariye/ Qoor Qoor, Southwest Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed/Lafta-Gareen, Hirshabelle Ali. Gudlawe Hussein and Jubbaland Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Islam Madobe.
A meeting of the National Electoral Consultative Council between the Federal Government of Somalia and the Heads of the Federal Member States has recently opened in Mogadishu. During the conference, the focus will be on the September 17 2020 agreement reached in Mogadishu and the final settlement of the electoral process.
The meeting includes election committees in the argument of wisdom, the region and the security of the elections. It is the first meeting the prime minister has chaired since President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo handed over the reins to the prime minister on May 1 2021.
