Kenya Deputy President William Ruto accepted the ICJ ruling-sources say

The Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya William Ruto said,”We thank the ICJ for finally delivering Justice on the Kenya vs. Somalia maritime case. I urge Kenyans to accept the verdict and move on for the sake of peace and good neighborliness,” according to Kenyan media reported.

The Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, Dr William Ruto is respecting the international rule of law according our sources told Somali Times.

While the corrupt Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy have different political issues, William Ruto pronouncing himself on the ICJ ruling, or taking a different distance from Kenyatta’s family who want Somalia to donate part of sea boundary which Somalis rejected an ICJ ruling. The case is over Somalis defended their boundaries according to Somali officials told Somali Times.




The court initially rejected Kenya’s argument that there was an agreement between the two countries, that there was a border between Somalia and Kenya along the line. It supported Somalia’s argument that there was no such agreement.

The court then accepted Somalia’s request to decide the maritime border between the two countries, and the ICJ upheld Somalia’s argument that the demarcation should be based on a straight line along the maritime boundary.

Somalia’s President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo said he hopes the court ruling will turn a new chapter in relations between the two countries, and that they will now live in good neighborliness and mutual respect.
