Minister Awad says Qatar’s relationship with Somalia is good, but with UAE, it is down.

Somali Foreign Minister Ahmed Issa Awad in an exclusive 25-minute interview with Al-Araby Television spoke on a number of issues concerning the country’s foreign policy, and was asked about the country’s pivotal role. Has regional, Arab, African and international issues.

The Minister, who appeared to be a highly publicized figure, answered these questions openly, taking a particular stance on issues including UAE Ports, Qatar-Somalia relations and the country’s political influence. To the neutral position of the Gulf States’ conflict resolution, Minister Awad said that Somalia is now taking an active role in all the organizations that it is part of and appearing in, and pointed towards the role of stability and peace in the east-east Africa region.

The position of neutrality in the Qatar conflict and some Gulf states indicated that they had faced serious challenges in Somalia, but ultimately managed all of them.




Minister Ahmed Issa Awad said the interview details about Qatar’s relations with Somalia. But Minister Awad praised the Qatari for their support and role with good relations and with Somalia. “The truth is that Somalia is recovering from a chronic crisis, and we are very grateful to the government and the people of our Qatar brothers for their positive role in Somalia and the support they have shown us,” a minister told al-Araby Television in an interview.

Minister Ahmed Issa Awad said in the interview that, ‘On the other hand, when they asked about the relationship between Somalia and the United Arab Emirates, he said there was a decline in relations and mutual understanding, adding that Somalia has made efforts to build a relationship of brotherhood and mutual respect.
