President Erdogan to deliver speech in capital Ankara




ISTANBUL-President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to deliver a speech from the balcony of the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party’s headquarters in capital Ankara following his success in the elections on Sunday, according to a presidential source.

Speaking to the media at the Ataturk Airport before heading to Ankara, Erdogan said: “We have always tried to be servants of our nation, not masters. My people are aware of this and showed their love with 52.5 percent votes.”The Turkish president previously delivered a speech in Istanbul and declared his victory in Turkey’s presidential and parliamentary elections.

According to unofficial results, with 98.56 percent of ballots counted, Erdogan got 52.52 percent of the vote.The AK Party-MHP People’s Alliance also apparently secured a parliamentary majority with a combined of 53.59 percent.
