The outgoing president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has this evening signed the extension law approved by the outgoing corrupt Somali members of parliament yesterday.

Somalia’s Information Minister Osman Abukar Dubbe posted a statement on his Facebook page saying that, Farmajo had signed the law approved by corrupt members of parliament.

“The former President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, this evening, signed the Special Electoral Orientation Law, which was approved by a majority of the Somali Parliament yesterday, 12-04-2021,” Minister Dubbe said in a statement.

The international community, some state leaders, other political stakeholders and civil society organizations are strongly opposed to the extension being pushed back by President Mohamed Farmajo, and how the situation will turn out in Somalia.
