1. The Presidents of Puntland and Jubaland are in Mogadishu for three nights, holding separate meetings with Somali political stakeholders, international delegates, and preparations for the opening of the Mogadishu Conference.

2. The Mogadishu conference faces a number of challenges that need to be overcome first, or an agreement is reached, including:

3-Jubaland has called on the federal government to end its interference in Gedo region, the administrations it has appointed and the troops it has deployed.

4-Puntland and Jubaland stated that since the Dhusamareb third conference has not been finalized, the Mogadishu conference has not been completed yet and the three missing regional administrations need to attend the conference in a different manner. does not happen.

Somali political stakeholders are demanding to attend the conference, and have been welcomed by Puntland and Jubaland. Efforts are underway by the international community to bring the three regional administrations of Galmudug, Southwest and Hir Shabelle to the conference to finalize the outcome of Dhusamareb third.

Outlet media reports said that the international community has found a way to put pressure on the federal government to carry out the government’s provisional administration would reach an understanding troops would withdraw. It is clear that the Mogadishu conference is a consensus but it is important that the challenges are addressed, while in the past it did not come together to tie the knot.

If the other three regional administrations attend the conference, it is possible that troops deployed in Gedo region will be given time to return to their bases before the elections, which could facilitate the conference’s opening. The other point for other politicians to attend is that it is up to all the states and the federal government. However, it is clear that this conference is going to be a big one, but there are challenges ahead.
