The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud arrived in the city of Asmara in Eritrea yesterday afternoon. President Hassan Sheikh has started a two-day official visit to Eritrea’s capital, Asmara, according to the Somali Times.
Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud arrived in Asmara, the capital of Eritrea, on Monday for an official visit. This marks President Hassan Mohamoud’s third visit to Eritrea since taking office in May 2022.

President Isaias Afwerki of Eritrea welcomed President Hassan, and they are expected to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments of mutual interest.
During his stay, Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud will have an important meeting with his Eritrean counterpart, Isaias Afwerki.

The president’s visit to Asmara came after an official invitation he received from the president of Eritrea.
Eritrea is undergoing training for thousands of soldiers who were recently taken, while some months ago some of the soldiers who have been out of training in the country for years were brought back to the country.
