A delegation led by Somalia’s Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi Mohamed Guled has arrived in The Hague, Netherlands.

The purpose of the delegation is to witness the decision of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) which will announce the verdict on the Kenyan maritime dispute on October 12 2021.

“A delegation led by me has arrived in The Hague to witness the decision of the International Court of Justice which will announce the verdict in the maritime dispute between Somalia and Kenya on October 12 2021,” said Somali Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi.

The members of the Somali government delegation that arrived in The Hague include the Attorney General of Somalia, the Speaker of the South West Parliament Ali Said Fiqi, the former Attorney General Ahmed Ali Dahir, and Ambassador Yusuf Garaad Omar as the Special Representative for the Horn of Africa, the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden and other Members.

The verdict will be closely watched by the Somali people and government officials, with the corrupt Kenyan government saying it will not abide by the ruling of International Court of Justice.
