Sudanese President, Omar Hassan Al Bashir welcomes Somali President, Mohamed Farmajo
The Somali President, Mohamed Abdulahi Mohamed arrived in Khartoum Wednesday on a two-day visit. He was received at Khartoum Airport by the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, and a number of ministers and senior officials. In a press statement the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hamid Mumtaz, said that the Somali President’s efforts comes as part of the efforts to consolidate the relations between the two countries.
He said that during the Somali President’s visit, the Sudanese and Somali sides will hold talks in the political, diplomatic, economic and other fields. He indicated that the two Presidents will hold talks on issues of mutual concern that will be followed by the signing of memos of understanding and agreements in different fields, including education and agriculture.
The State Minister for Foreign Affairs said that the visit of the Somali President marks a turning point to the better in the bilateral relations. He said that the talks between the two sides will include issues of the security and stability in Somalia.
