Food, agriculture and Livestock Minister Ahmet Ashraf Fakıbaba, held in Ministry “Reconciliation Zapti signature ceremony of cooperation between Turkey and Somalia in field of agriculture” attended.
The two country delegations have been negotiating in technical context for five days, “Mr. President visited Somalia many times. Somalia is very important to us. I believe that agreement we make as two brors and sisters in country will contribute to development of both agriculture field and our brorhood, “he said.
Somali Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Said Hussein Iyd stated that y came to Turkey with a delegation of different units of Somali Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Directorate of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (Tika) and said y had useful interviews with all relevant units.
“We discussed overall scope of projects,” he noted, noting that two ministries agreed to deal with a serious cooperation. We discussed topics of education, research and development of agricultural trade between two countries. The Treaty Protocol will open gates of magnificent cooperation between two countries. The Turkish Government is well known for its support and assistance to Somalia. Somali people are also very grateful to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, “he said.
