Somali President Farmajo attended the East Africa Conference

Addis Ababa, The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, in his opening remarks at the opening of the Unity Park, a tourism project in Ethiopia, said that facilitating direct flights between Somalia and Ethiopia has had a positive impact on bilateral trade.

The President pointed out that the countries in the region can take advantage of the rich trade and investment opportunities in Somalia, and noted that the climate of our country and its beauty will lead to more regional and international tourism.“On our part, we are committed to promoting tourism and cooperation between our countries, which will facilitate daily flights.”

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, expressed the commitment of the Government and the people of Somalia to compete with the State for development and co-operation, and emphasized that maintaining good neighborliness is the key to strengthening bilateral relations.

The ceremony was attended by Ugandan Presidents Yoweri Museveni, Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta, South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit, Sudan’s Prime Minister Abdalla Hamad and other regional delegates.
