Mogadishu, August 1, 2019, we officially share with you that the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, he give up his American citizenship to the United States. This work has been around for a long time and has been involved with the legal and ethical offices of Somalia and the United States.

President Mohamed lived in the United States for a long time and gained of educational knowledge and work experience, and became Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia in 2010. The Provisional Constitution of the Federal Republic of Somalia allows Somali nationals to become citizens of another country, but after being elected, the President voluntarily embarked on a second US passport plan that has ended today.
