Somali special forces killed 51 Al-Shabab terrorists

Somalia’s special forces have conducted an operation against the Al-Shabab terrorist group, Somali special forces killing more than 51 terrorists, according to Somali officials told Somali Times.

The operation was targeted Al-Shabab terror group who were planning conspiracies to attack Somali people in the village of Bulo-Madino, in Lower Shabelle region, said Somali Information Ministry in a statement it issued Wednesday evening after the operation.

Somalia special forces, supported by clan militias and, at times, African Union troops, have made a number of battlefield gains against Al-Shabab terrorist group in the last three months.

Somalia has been plagued by insecurity for over 30 years, with Al-Shabab terrorist group being one of the main threats in Somalia.
