Somali special forces rescue 33 children abducted by al-Shabaab from their parents

The Somali National Army (SNA) Danab Commandos planned an operation in the Kuntuwarey district of Lower Shabelle region. This was successful as the plan have rescued 33 minors who were forcibly taken from their parents to be educated by Al-Shabaab in extremist ideologies. When the troops took control of the district, they went to the camp where the children were being held and handed them over to their relatives.

The mission of monitoring targets and men are pursuing the military has arrested dozens of members of this group and some wearing District Station. During the operation, the troops received additional information about Al Shabaab bombing sites, and a large number of landmines and explosive devices were seized.

The command of the Somali National Army said that the operation was planned and will continue.
