Somalia president Hassan Sheikh underwent surgery in the UAE and then left for Saudi Arabia

The President of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud, who has been in the United Arab Emirates for the last 10 days, left for another trip today from Abu Dhabi.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud and a leading delegation have left for Saudi Arabia and are heading to the capital city of Riyadh.

The purpose of the Somali president’s trip is to attend the summit of the Arab League and the African Union in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.

According to Somali Times, the president underwent a successful and secret shoulder surgery and checkup brain scan during his stay in Abu Dhabi, according to close relative of Hassan Sheikh.

He also held various meetings with the leaders of the United Arab Emirates, discussing the relationship between the two countries, the economy and the fight against Al-Shabab.

Villa Somalia, which released news about the president’s trip, said that after the meeting in Riyadh, he will return to Mogadishu, so that he can continue to lead his government’s fight against Al-Shabab.

“The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud, is scheduled to return to the country after the summit of the Arab League and the African Union,” Villa Somalia said in a statement.

President Hassan’s visit to these countries comes at a time when the country is currently in a humanitarian situation as a result of the floods in Somalia.
