Somalia; President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo met with a delegation from the European Union




Addis Ababa – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, meets with the Special Representative of the Chairperson of the African Union (AU) and representatives of the International Organizations at the African Union Headquarters, met with a delegation from the European Union.

The president told the leadership of the country’s general secretary, thanking the EU for its support to Somalia especially in the areas of security, development and humanitarian assistance. Also, President Mohamed discussed with the EU to increase its efforts to rebuild the Somali army, as the EU leaders met with the President praising the National Security Forces building in Somalia.



The leaders of the European Union have expressed their appreciation for the peace and reconciliation process the President has in Puntland and Galmudug, saying the good relationship between the Federal Government and the Federal Government has led to the significant collaborative achievements in Somalia.

The European Union President’s Meeting with the President, led by International Cooperation and Development Director Mr. Stefano Manservisi and the European Union Department of Foreign Affairs Mr Koen Vervaeke.
